Brantech Solutions and Consulting LLC started as a small security company in 2010. Providing home security solutions for home and small business owners in the Baton Rouge and Miss Lou areas. Over the years a wealth of knowledge has been gained and technologies have changed allowing Brantech to move into information technology solutions and consulting. Brantech is one of the few companies that has the knowledge and skill sets to provide your business with a single vendor solution for all technical challenges.

Owner and Operator Don Branton has been in IT for 20 years starting back in 2000 working for Oxford Alarm in Oxford, MS. He worked as a service technician while studying Management of Information Systems at Ole Miss. Upon graduation in 2003, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in the field of Management of Information Systems, Branton moved his family to Baton Rouge, LA. There he started his professional career in IT with the Louisiana Secretary of State's Office. Branton was an IT Liaison for Secretary Fox McKeithen and managed the state museum websites. As time marched on, Don got the opportunity to bring his skill set back to his hometown of Ferriday, LA. He became General Manager of his family's business Tanner & Co and started Brantech. He serviced local small businesses in the Miss-Lou with intrusion security and IT solutions until an opportunity arose to resume his career with the State of Louisiana.

Back in Baton Rouge, LA, Branton became the Enterprise Content Management Analyst for the Department of Insurance under Jim Donelon. There he managed the enterprise wide software, database, and document capture processes for the department. During his time with LDI he also designed and deployed a new website and social media marketing platform. Brantech was still growing so the Branton brothers, Don and John, joined forces to expand it's home security solutions into East Baton Rouge and Livingston Parishes.  With technology becoming cheaper and do it yourself intrusion systems flooding the market, The Branton's made the decision to shift focus to IT solutions and consulting.

With his Enterprise Content Management experience, Don Branton joined the team at Louisiana Health Services and Indemnity Company (BCBSLA) to migrate and upgrade their document management system. Branton became the Subject Matter Expert for LAHSIC, aka Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana, on its Enterprise Content Management Systems. Since then, he has implemented, upgraded, migrated, designed new systems and business processes for Blue Cross. Branton has worked on numerous projects for businesses in the Miss-Lou developing custom software solutions, online marketing promotions, website designs, infrastructure upgrades, data integrity solutions, security audits, database migrations, and the list goes on.
